Honor of Maid of Honor

So I love weddings. They are such great fun and represent such a wonderful thing... love! Well the first wedding I was in was my Leslie's wedding 3 summers ago (I can't believe it has been 3 years). I was the Maid of Honor. I was so nervous, I wanted everything to go perfect. I think I was more nervous than Leslie was! It was such a great feeling to know that I meant that much to her.

Well skip about 3 years and 6 other bridesmaid dresses (yes, I still have all of them if you would like to borrow one or play dress up)... Ivey got engaged! Now she asked me to be her Maid of Honor! What a great feeling all over again! This time, I was not nervous (maybe it has something to do with the 6 dresses in between?) but the wedding was beautiful and things could not have gone smoother!


Well then we skip about 5 months and now my sister gets engaged, and asks me to be her maid of honor! Wow, kinda overwhelming but WONDERFUL! My sister is getting married in 12 days and I can't believe it! It seems like we are still just little kids and she is trying to be a grown-up. This will be the 8th, yes 8th wedding that I have been in. Katherine Heigl better watch out, I am about to catch up with her!


A few weeks ago, I was at dinner with Leslie and Ivey and got really sentimental thinking about these 3 beautiful friends that I've been blessed with. What an honor it's been for me to stand by them as the enter into this wonderful covenant with their husbands and God (and I guess the power invested to the minister by the state of NC ;))! I have never felt so blessed in my life.

(Side note: I am VERY thankful for ALL of my friends but was just posting about weddings... that's all!)
